I am pretty sure there were only 2 devices in LAN at that time (my laptop and phone) - I also checked the router logs and confirmed there was no random PC in my network. I am computer illiterate and I need my laptop for work, but I'm afraid to use it now. I have AnyDesk installed on my laptop (v.5.4.0) - I recently opened a New Connection tab and saw a random PC name 'discovered' by AnyDesk in the local network ready to connect. I googled and the only thing I can figure out is that it is used to access computers from other locations.so why is it on mine? And if I remove it, what is this alias I will lose? Also, will I lose/remove the programs he installed? Huh? Wtf is this? What alias? Why is this program on my computer? I went to uninstall it and a message came up saying: warning! The removal of your configuration files also removes your alias! This action cannot be undone! So I pick it up today, bring it home and there is a AnyDesk icon (no idea what it is) on my desktop. He changed my hard drive and re-installed Windows, Microsoft and other programs I needed. I dont know who else to ask, so hopefully someone can help me.Ī few days ago my laptop (HP pavillion) was running extremely slowly and was a pain in general to use, so I took it to a local computer repair shop to get it fixed.
